MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2011: BEST DRESSED

If the celebs are anything to go by, it's all about being sequened and sparkly this party season.

A number of attendees at the event at Universal Studios in LA last night rocked the eye-catching look including Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, Black Swan's Mila Kunis and our very own Emma Watson.

The star of the new Transformer's film, Rosie Huntington-Whitely was also there rocking a bit of leopard-print, whilst Blake Lively chose to sport the colour-blocking trend in a electric-blue Balmain dress teamed with purple Jimmy Choos.

FASHION FAV OF THE WEEK: EMMA WATSON

If you've read this blog before, then you will already know that I lovvvveee Emma Watson- especially since she got her new chic haircut...

And she looked just as fabulous as ever this week while filming in Paris this week for Lancome.

The 20-year-old is the new face for the cosmetics company- and what a pretty face it is.

EMMA WATSON STEALS THE SHOW AT THE BAFTAS

We all know her as the frrizzy-haired teen from the Harry Potter films, but Emma Watson is fast turning into a British fashion icon.

The 20-year-old looked luminous on the red carpet at The London Royal Opera House dressed in a floor-length nude dress.

The pixie-cropped actress also had a reason to celebrate- with Harry Potter winning the 'Outstanding Contribution to British Cinema' award.

On winning the gong, she said:

"We're really honoured, it's nice to be able to accept it on behalf of all the hundreds of Brits who have been involved in the fim over the past 10 years."

Other fashion front-runners on the red carpet were hosts Kimberly Walsh and Rachel Stevens- with Kim looking gorgeous in a floor-length peach number and Rachel working a glittery cream dress.

Thandie Newton also wowwed onlookers in a beatuiful pink, strapless gown, and T4 host Jameela Jamil looked classy in a floral gown.

Girls Aloud member Sarah Harding seemed to have overdone it on the make-up front with heavy eyeliner and bold lipstick team with her red dress, and Gemma Arterton chose a rather ill-fitting velvet number teamed with a huge red bow.

'The Kings Speech' was the film of the night- winning seven of the fourteen awards it was nominated for. 'The Social Network' also picked up two, and Natalie Portman won 'Best Actress' for 'The Black Swan' but was unable to pick up her award.

Emma gets edgy for V Magazine

We're used to seeing Emma Watson as prim and proper schoolgirl Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter books, however not so much in these pictures!

She poses in 1920's clothes with smudgy eyes and smudged lipstick for America's 'V Magazine'.

The stunning pictures were shot by in-demand photographer Ellen Von-Unsworth who has shot the likes of Hollywood's Drew Barrymore and Milla Jovovich. She has also worked on many 'Guess' campaigns and just created the cover for Rihanna's 'Rated R' album.

The shot portrays Emma as a young child, stealing her mother's make-up bag and dressing up in her clothes, which represents the transition of Emma as a child star, growing up into a fashionista.

And I think she looks gorgeous in them!
