Friday's Fierce Female: Katy Perry

Okay, I'm starting a regular feature here on 'The Fash'... every Friday I am going to be bringing you a 'fierce female' which is basically a profile of someone who I think has been working it each week...

I'll take a look back at their fashion choices and find out why they are just so damn fierce!

The first 'fierce female' is Katy Perry!

So why is KP just so FIERCE?!

Well, first of all, she's the daughter of a vicar, who is now known for getting naked, kissing girls and dressing in rubber- if that's not fierce, I don't know what is?!

Yes, as well as all those shenanigans, Miss Perry is also fun and quirky and doesn't care what anyone else thinks about her.

She dresses like a cartoon, has a real body (with actual curves) and has a fringe so short it's barely even there- and guess what- she looks amazing!!

The thing about this girl is that she has confidence. It's the key to her sucess and has enabled her to get pretty much anything she wants- I mean, she's even tamed the once serial shagger Russel Brand; that's an achievement in itself!

As well as all that she has a damned good voice and has released many good tunes- including the recent 'Calafornia Gurls'. Is there anything this wonderwoman can't do?!

I doubt it!

Dakota Fanning: All Grown Up!

It's so weird for me to see Dakota Fanning looking more and more like a woman each day as I always remember her as the cute little child star. However, she looks the epitomy of sophisitcation for this month's Maire Claire's magazine cover.

She's still only sixteen, but is blossomming into a right beauty.

A/W 2010: French Connection

I want all you readers out there to be aware of what's hot to wear this Autum/Winter, so I'm bringing you all the designs for the most fashionable lines before they hit the shops.

Today's selection is from the amazing French Connection.

With all French Connection clothes, they are set to be very scructured and obviously they follow the tonal colours that define the A/W season. There is also lots of interesting prints, sparkles for the evening and even a splash of velvet!

Gossip Girl Style: What are they rockin'?

So, Gossip Girl is soon to be back on our screens for it's 4th series of the uber-stylish New York drama, and we'll all be looking at one thing...

Nooo, not Chuck Bass's beautiful face!

I mean the FASHION.

Yes, the 'teen' drama that's so stylish it hurts is just as well kown for its fashion credentials as it's 'who's-kissing'who' storylines.

And man does it look like we're in for a treat...

Yes, Blair (Leighton Meester) and Serena (Blake Lively) have grown up- and so have their fashion senses by the looks of things.

While filming in Paris for the new series, we saw Blair swapping her high-school headbands for a delicate parisian look, while Serena look serene in a sophisticated green maxi dress and floaty hat.

And the gorgeous outfits continued back on American soil, as Blake Lively was spotted roaming around NY in a too-die-for monochrome maxi while Miss Meester sported a utility-style playsuit. V. on trend.

Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) was also looking gorge in a somewhat bold purple and yellow suit; looking more like he did in Series 1.

Also check out Rufus (Matthew Settle) in his dapper grey suit, messy hair and aviators. V. nice! And who's that looker on his arm?!

Producers are keeping this series secrets under-wraps, but I can tell you that Dan is meant to be the FATHER of Georgina's baby (eek!), while Chuck may have a new beaut on his arm in the form of Harry Potter star Clemence Poesy.

A/W LOOK 10-11: Warehouse

In my previous post I brought you all the designs for Autumn/Winter from the catwalk with Phillip Lim's designs, but what can we expect from the High Street?

Well, quite the same really, if Warehouse's A/W collection is anything to go by...

It's full of neutral shades for daytime and sparkles for evening glamour. So snap up them sequins girls!

A/W LOOK 10-11: Phillip Lim

Want to know what you'll be wearing come this autum/winter?

Well look no further, as I have all the inside info on what trends are going to be big in the coming month...

This post is focussing on man-of-the-moment Phillip Lim and his ready-to-wear collection shown in New York Fashion Week.

The Chinese designer wowwed onlookers such as Alexa Chung with his gorgeous creations.

The line is very shophisticated- focussing on neutral colours such as grey, white and beige for the daytime, as well as a few splashes of mustard.

His evening designs are more glamourized and glitzy, but still clasic- using a pallette of golds, blacks and purples.

Make-up and hair was all about the softness- with bouncy curls, smokey eyes and rose lips.

January Jones gets fiery for fashion shoot...

January Jones is usually known for her soft blonde waves and 50's-inspired look on-screen in her role as Betty Draper in TV hit 'Mad Men', however she is showing a whole new side in photoshoot for MarkTBeauty.Com.

The 32-year-old actress sported a fiery red bob and thick dark eyebrows for the stunning pictures.

Make-up artist Townsend said:

'You always see January as this ’50s, sort of Grace Kelly character. I wanted to really show off the power of hair and make-up with a bit of a ’20s influence.'

What a transformation! Just goes to show a true beauty can rock any look and still look gorgeous!

Cheryl Vs. Pixie: Do blondes have more fun?

Usually, Cheryl Cole/Tweedy is the winner of the fashion stakes over at 'The X-Factor', however, she had stiff competition today as Pixie Lott acted as a guest judge for the hit show in Cardiff.

The 19-year-old wowwed the crowds in an LBD and chunky gold necklace teamed with volumized hair, which she's recently dyed white-blonde.

Cheryl however opted for a more demure approach in a high-necked cream blouse.

Being a brunette, I feel like a traitor for saying Pixie wins the style battle here. But it's undeniably true.

I guess blondes might just have more fun... this time!
